My Story
Creating moments with others is something I cherish deeply. One moment in particular that motivated me to begin creating shirts was with one of my students at my school. That moment with her propelled me to expand my creativity and transform my artwork into sweatshirts. Each of my designs incorporates my poured painting technique, resulting in a unique and singular piece of wearable art.
The Inspiration for Moments
Creating moments with individuals is something that I cherish deeply and am truly passionate about. There is nothing quite like establishing a connection with another person, whether it stems from shared interests, mutual passions, or simply an inside joke. The act of creating that moment is genuinely remarkable. In my role at a school, I have experienced numerous moments with students. One particular instance inspired me to design t-shirts. A student and I would take walks around the school to alleviate her anxiety. We developed a close bond and shared many unforgettable moments together. One such occasion involved a discussion about our favorite day of the week. She was tasked with writing a persuasive essay, and I thought it would be enjoyable to delve into her favorite day and the reasons behind it. During our walks, we would explore the reasons for our chosen “favorite” days of the week. We also engaged other staff members and students in our discussions, thereby creating additional moments with others. One day, I had the idea to create a “Best Day of the Week” shirt, marking the beginning of my t-shirt-making journey. That single moment with my student ignited my passion for making shirts, which has motivated me to share my art with all of you and to create sweatshirts. When you take a moment with someone, you can never predict where it may lead.
P.S. The student was not pleased when I arrived at work wearing my shirt, but she was overjoyed on the last day of school when I gifted her the “Best Day of the Week” shirt.
